Teaching Assistant – with Professor Allegra Jordan

At Duke’s Pratt School of Engineering, the Master of Engineering Management program includes courses designed to bridge technical skills with leadership in high-tech industries. Professor Allegra Jordan leads one such course, blending management principles with real-world applications.

As a Teaching Assistant for Professor Jordan, I supported both instruction and mentorship. I worked with students to deepen their understanding of leadership concepts, facilitated discussions, and provided one-on-one guidance on assignments. I also helped review project submissions and ensured course materials aligned with learning objectives.

What I enjoyed most about this role was engaging directly with students—helping them translate leadership theory into actionable insights. It allowed me to contribute not only as a TA but as a mentor, reinforcing my own learnings while supporting the growth of future leaders.
